After years of being a Family Nurse Practitioner, turning to yoga in semi-retirement seemed like a natural course for me. In 2013, motivated to deepen my awareness of health, balance, and the practice of acceptance and being in the present moment I completed yoga teachers training. I developed the Gentle Yoga class specifically so that any person could come, experience the benefits of yoga and have fun. The class focuses on developing both flexibility and strength in order to gain greater stability. It is for any age person who wants to adapt the practice to fit their physical goals. In class, breath connects with movement to nourish body and mind and soul. Effort combines with ease and the overall focus is on enjoying the journey. It is with gratitude that I can say that I am a member of the Ashland Tennis and Fitness family.
